Hey all,
This has absolutly been a crazy batch of months. Our home was near the Herriman machine gun fire line in September of 2011. Due to this crazy happening, I have been forced to scrap all materials due to smoke damage. I am also re-doing my studio so that everything is fresh and clean for a new start. Wahoo! I hope to attach pics soon! Thanks to all for your patience as we get started anew and bring the year in with a bang and a new start! I am so excited to continue offering you bedding and decor needs for your most cherished treasures!

I am so excited about all the new things we are adding! I am doing new things daily so check in with us as much as you can!

I am so excited for the kids to get back to school! My youngest is going to start first grade! Whew..... what an accomplishment! He is so big!

I am so happy to have my new studio! It is great to spread out and let myself be creative! What a release! This has been such a great month! I am currently working on a giraffe bathroom combo that will be listed soon! It will be a new addition and will be so fun and expressive for the little girl that will be receiving it!

Hey all! I am finally getting caught up and back to blogging! I will be visiting more now that we are settled in the new design studio!!

We made it through the holidays!

Whew...... the holidays are finally over and a new year is beginning. I will be moving soon and have a studio created just for me in my home! What a fun experience it has been to build a home and make it our own. My studio will consist of plenty of room for me to work! Finally! It will also offer some time to shut the door and work without it getting in the way of the kiddos! As a mom and business owner, this is super important because they are always first in my book! And it will be so nice to shut the business side of my life out and be a mom!

I am working on a new line of bedding and accessories, from cradle bedding to teen bedding. I am hoping to have them out by summer and hope that this increases exposure to my site. I also hope this allows my customers a chance to see additional items from me and can enhance their custom bedding designs.

I love what I do because it allows my customers to change anything on my items to fit their taste and style. So many times I looked at bedding for my own kiddos and could not find exactly what I wanted. I always felt like I was settling for something and that was not always a good experience. I wanted to offer to my customers an experience of having their bedding and accessories look exactly like they are visualizing. I strive in making their bedding visualization come to life. This is why I have such a passion for what I do.

Wow!! So long since I chatted!

Hello all,
I have had an incredible couple of weeks! I am super busy and LOVING my job! I have recently moved and we are waiting for our house to finish the building process! I will soon have a studio all to myself! Wahoo!
My kiddos have already started school. My oldest is in 6th grade. I cannot believe how fast it has gone. And to top that all off, my baby is going to start kindergarten on Tuesday!
Being a mom, wife and business owner is super fun. But there are many challenges. It always seems like when I have all the materials out and I am on a roll, that I have to clean it all up and get going on dinner or help the kids with homework. I am so ready for my own studio, I can hardly wait to be able to leave my project out and move on to my kids and hubby.

Life is so much fun!

I am so so happy! I love my family and my business! I have been working on two Gothic period twin sets that have really been so much fun! Having the change day by day is what I love about custom bedding. It helps to bring a definite adventure to my life besides my sweet family!

My kiddos have come to enjoy helping me now and then and I really think it is some special time that I can have with just them. My sweet little Madison tells her friends that I make so many pretty things. I like to feel admired by her.

I have noticed that the more I let them be involved in my business the more they are accepting of the times that mommy " HAS" to work and cannot read stories, play, or watch something special they are doing. I hope that someday they can feel that it all was worth it and that they loved having their mom home and there for them when they needed me.

Being a Mommy and a Business Owner

Whew, sometimes it gets a little crazy around here. I really try to focus on the kiddos when they come home from school and give them their special moments. It does not work out that way all the time though because I get busy working on a project and feel the need to get finished.

Being a stay at home mom and having a business brings on challenge I did not realize would be there. Like how do I possibly get all of the laundry done and sew and take care of my five year old that is still at home. It seems like a great responsibility. Then you mention the house work such as cleaning the all dreaded bathrooms and making sure things are tidy for the hubby to come home.

But when I take a moment to step back and look at my life I have to feel very blessed to be at home and to be here for my kiddos and family when they need me. I am so blessed with the growth that I have seen in my business and love my "job" immensely.

Where does all my time go?

Wow, you know I feel like my time in the day is just not enough. I am a stay at home mommy with three beautiful chillins. They are boy 11, girl 8, and boy 5. My 5 year old is going to be starting kindergarten in the fall! Whew! I am actually glad for this step. I have waited to grow my business until he was not at home part time. This was a very good decision because he sure has demanded much of my time.
I love being a mom and wife most though and love being there for my kiddos when they come home from school! I am so excited to have the time to get started on vamping up my web site and business.
